uh no... https://www.usc.edu/ |
| My kid's friends all got into UVA/VT (in-state and most of them got into both) and are largely studying engineering and/or CS. Here is where they have chosen to go: UT, Michigan, GA Tech, UIUC. |
South Carolina is not USC. USC = white horse and LA. south carolina is south carolina |
In Virginia, Maryland, and DC, USC is South Carolina https://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=75138304&caseSearchType=US_APPLICATION&caseType=DEFAULT&searchType=statusSearch |

Northeastern.
Kid has lived whole life in VA suburb, and wanted to venture out. |
| While expanding the list, turned down WM in state for UMD. |
OK, I understand. You guys prefer colleges with peoples' last names. |
| Purdue - it wasn5 that big of a difference for engineering. He has graduated and is well employed. We are happy with the outcome. |
No. USC is a national brand and most people understand that to be in California. Similarly, when someone outside of SC says they went to Carolina, most people understand that to be UNC. South Carolina is UofSC. OP, a friend's kid declined UVA for Stanford, but transferred to UVA sophomore year. Last month, another friend's daughter declined UVA for UCLA. She said it was a tough decision so it will be interesting to hear her perspective next summer. |
| Georgetown or Brown. Deadline 1 week. Really liked UVA, but wanted a smaller school. |
| Turned down Va Tech engineering to attend Ga Tech. |
STEM major? |
