INSANELY overpriced listing in Loudoun

Anonymous
This home is nice and has great views, but what are these owners smoking to list it for that much?!!

It sold for approximately $950k in 2015 and now they want over 2.2million for it, absolute insanity for a home that far out! I know the market is radically different than 2015 but that's an insane increase in price!

Do you all think it's a fair price?

It's clear you don't know the market. That looks about right.

And being "that far out" is a feature, not a bug.

It’s a huge house on 6 acres.

Beautiful property but the price is bonkers. I don't who would be in the market to buy a house like that.

I'm gonna sound dumb here, but I had no idea Loudoun had properties like that. I still don't think it's worth that much though. I'd argue it's worth $1.8 mil max and if it had a pool it would be more reasonable.

I remember in 7th grade, our math teacher assigned a project to design and graph out our dream house floor plan. This looks just like my sketches.

However, the dream house I had at 13 is not at all the dream house I have in my 40s.

Western Loudoun is almost entirely properties like that. The price point isn't wildly off.

Lots of people in the market for properties like that. No one wants to live in or close to DC anymore unless you actually have to go there for work.

Leesburg is close enough to other jobs centers including Tysons, Dulles area, etc.

Even for Western Loudoun it's a little steep. But the price point isn't wildly off.

It's on almost 7 acres. I personally wouldn't want that much but someone will and I wager they get close to asking.

What's happening in pic 83...?

House across the street sold last summer for $1.5 and its on 10 acres. How would a house in the same neighborhood on LESS land cost over $500k more?

I live out here and the house in overpriced.

That landscaping (or lack thereof) makes me angry. The house looks like it was plunked down in the middle of a sad field.

I wish I had 2 million dollars to spend on a house. That's seriously everything I've been looking for. Acreage but neighbors, modern house, outbuilding. Lovely. I don't know if it's overpriced or not, but I love it.

I guess I don’t think it is horribly priced. It is beautiful, large and on 6 acres.

My BIL & SIL live in the same community, just a few streets over.

It is a gorgeous neighborhood and there's lots to do around there, but what a pain it is to go see them sometimes.

It takes is nearly an hour to get there and that's without traffic, because there's always traffic on every road that leads to there.

I'm not from here, so I don't know much about demographics, but they bought their house about 6 years ago for $1.2 and now it's being appraised at about as much as this one, so?

They really are beautiful homes though.

That's because it probably was. That house could be any price, but I could never live in it. I just need a tree near me for some shade and some squirrels and birds. Even legit farmhouses in the middle of hundreds of acres have trees around the main house. I hate clearcutting an area to put up McMansions.
