Small/portable neck pillow for long flight

Anonymous
Any recs? Flying to and from London this summer and I haven’t been on a flight that long in over 20 years so I’m a little nervous. Thanks!

Go to Ross/Marshalls/TJMaxx and just get a cheap one.

If you don’t mind spending a bit more, the Trtl neck pillow is great.

By far the best one. Available on Amazon.

I just got one for Mother's Day, haven't tried it yet but everyone I know swears by it.

Just look it up - it only averages 4 stars, not even 4.5. And it’s really expensive.

I’ve tried them all and none of them work for me.

Wirecutter just did a comparison but that flight is just the right length of time for sleep to not be worth it between take off, meals, and arrival/landing stuff, but you’ll be too tired if you don’t.

I have tried so many of them, and none of them have been great for me.

I think part of the problem is that I have long hair, which I can’t figure out how to make work with something wrapped around my neck. I either have to wear it up on top of my head, which I don’t find comfortable for many hours on end, or just have it pushed up and out around the pillow, which ends up getting in my face.

The best option I’ve found is an infinity pillow (https://infinitypillow.co/) because you can use it in a number of different configurations. But it’s a little bulky to carry (although you can just wear it around your neck).

most use the U shaped one and have it turned the wrong way, the opening goes in the back. The best is the snake one.

Those short overnight flights are the worst. We have the return from Maui to Dallas this summer and then planning London next year. Its misery any way you slice it.

Travel internationally a few times a year and Cabeau Evolution pillow is the best I've found. You can get it on Amazon for around $30.

The flight to London isn't very long. Its basically the same as going to California. A bit longer coming back but really nothing to stress over.

never tried it this way, but came here to say that those pillows are so uncomfortable. I guess i've been using them the wrong way all along.

I don’t care for any neck pillows, though I've tried a bunch.

What helps me — in cattle class economy — are the headrest wings that pull out and bend so you can lean your head against them. Those are great, and I don’t have to pack them myself!

Does anyone have suggestions for the *smallest*? We're trying to do all carry on to HI and have a red eye home in economy that is going to be rough ... but I don't want to sacrifice too much valuable space for what is essentially a single use item.
