DC Soccer Club ECNL team

Anybody know anything about this new ECNL RL team at DC Soccer club? We have an offer we are probably going to take. Coach looks good on paper. Wondering if anyone has any experience with them.

It's just another entrant in the alphabet soup of youth soccer in DC. They would do better to try to form an alliance with an existing ECNL (or MLS Next)club to send kids their way. DC proper has too many clubs. If the 5 small clubs plus DCSC banded together, something great could happen, particularly if they had a mission of leveling the playing field for kids who may not be able to traditionally afford travel soccer.

Which coach or age group? Varies a lot. Best kids leave on older age groups because DCSC less competitive at higher ages. Depends on your kid's goal for soccer.

Let's do apples to apples on Jeff Cup. Starting with DCSC and Lee Mount Vernon, the two newest entrants into ENCLR. Of all age groups and both clubs, only LMVSC 09 girls were included this year.

Someone else with more time can do other ECNLR real vs "pay us more"

DCSC’s ECNLR teams start play in fall ‘24. They didn’t play in Jeff Cup.

For high school ages, i'm not sure they will gain anything since it conflicts with high school soccer.

Also not sure how PP can make a judgement call on DCSC ESNL team when they haven’t played yet. Just getting offers out to their brand new never before seen team this week.

Somebody has to pay for it. I doubt a team of 12 with three who can afford to play are going to be happy footing the bill for nine other kids.

Right, but the new acronym is because the current blue teams (which, fwiw, my kids aren't on) will be competing in a different league. I don't entirely get why the club has decided to act as though it's a whole different form of tryout, but it IS true that that part will be different next year. The likely outcome may well be that DCSC teams all get absolutely torched every week, guess we'll see...
