| We scored a giant “L” tonight in the DMV. Bummed. |
|
Vast majority of the U.S. is covered in clouds right now
Southern California might be the best place to see tonight! I actually have a good friend who is on Day 4 of the Pacific Crest Trail, starting at the southern terminus. He’s going to get a helluva show. |
| Same outside of Boston so far. Maine pics are beautiful |
| A friend posted from Roanoke. Extra bummed, because if she can see it, we probably could, too. |
| I’m in Boston and I was able to see them. But the naked eye doesn’t pick up much. You need a phone to see them clearly. |
| Friends are posting gorgeous photos from my hometown of Cleveland right now. They got the eclipse, too. I traveled there for that at least. These clouds in DC are so disappointing. |
|
My kids are both at northern colleges and sent beautiful photos!
|
| ugh one of the few times I wish I were in Georgia to see this! |
| I’m so bummed! Even my FB friends in Florida are posting their Northern Lights photos. Boo clouds in DC. |
| Everyone in Detroit is posting gorgeous photos. We have gray. |
| Friend in Jonesboro, Arkansas, posted pictures. I am so envious! |
We could see lighter areas towards the north here in Great Falls but no real colors. You could tell there was something up behind the clouds. I went out for a drive around 11:30-midnight and while, again, it was lighter in some areas…nothing. |
| It’s still happening tonight though less intense |
Only because the utilities have been deregulated and capitalists have refused to put any money into protecting our infrastructure. Dirty dirty capitalists. |
