Seriously, what magic did her people work on him ? He lost maybe 30lbs and his face is much more youthful.

Regular exercise and a healthy diet make a huge difference. She's driving the change, and it's beneficial. Otherwise he'd be eating Dunkin and other fast food, boozing etc. He looks clean and healthy for the first time in a very long time. It will never last, which is a shame.

She's making him over into the male version of her...this is how she rolls.

In the beginning...sure.

“All I can tell you is that I have seen firsthand the difference representation makes because I have seen, over and over and over and over, women of color approach Jennifer and tell her what her example as a strong woman and a woman succeeding and demanding her fair share in the business world means to them,” notes actor/director Ben Affleck. “I am in awe of what Jennifer’s effect on the world is. At most, as an artist, I can make movies that move people. Jennifer has inspired a massive group of people to feel they have a seat at the table in this country. That is an effect few people throughout history have had, one I will never know and one I can only stand by and admire with respect.”

That’s a really substantive, thoughtful, nice thing too say.

But she is not likely humble though...nor has she seemed particularly thoughtful and generous throughout much of her career...now at midlife she is perhaps starting to think beyond herself a bit (and that's a big maybe) . But there have been many people throughout recent history actually who have worked and inspired people to "have a seat at the table". And what table are we even talking about? The music industry? Opening doors to people who have been under represented in the arts? Does he mean she opened doors like Aretha Franklin, or Ella Fitzgerald or Tina Turner or Diana Ross? She's like RBG? As in her work, as a trailblazer under great opposition, actually impacted millions of people in real and sustained ways? Is she known for her ongoing, decades long philanthropy or attempts at raising consciousness like Oprah Winfrey? Or her moral courage to take a stand and speak about the lived realities of powerless women like Toni Morrison or Maya Angelou? She is not in the same league as any of these people. I don't know what he is talking about. Even Martha Stewart, a similar person who loves luxury, branding, money and the best of everything ....opened a thriving center to serve women's health at one of the major hospitals in Manhattan. So people approach jennifer lopez inspired by her talent and idealizing her beauty and financial success and power? That's called celebrity. If I am missing or unaware of any actual, human rights, civil rights or ongoing philanthropy spanning decades that Ms Lopez has created or sustained....her "good works" so to speak, or her trailblazing work that has contributed to real effects beyond her just passively being a "role model" by doing her thing (which is i think what he means). Please enlighten me, maybe I am really missing something.

Why are you so aggressive about this? She can be a representative without being Mother Teresa and giving back.

When was the last time Beyonce did anything before she hit 40? She gave a tuition to 6 students at an HBCU and we never heard anything else. She and her husband are billionaires.

Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant also have amazing wealth and given practically nothing in comparison.

I actually consider JLo fighting for her worth and setting an example more than a few trinkets given out to a small population.

P.S. - she raised $10 million for HIV/AIDs work but I don't even care

He was talking about her deep and profound effect on the world and beyond her enormous working on her own behalf, I am simply asking "how so exactly?"

He literally said how in the quote.

Jennifer has inspired a massive group of people to feel they have a seat at the table in this country

Did you bother to read the linked article? Beyond the representation by being the first Latina to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show not t on mention her inauguration performance, there’s also this:

To her credit, Lopez has done much to help women of color move forward as entrepreneurs. This month, Lopez tells Adweek that her empire’s philanthropic arm, Limitless Labs, is partnering with Goldman Sachs and its 10,000 Small Businesses program in support of Latinx entrepreneurs.

She shares values with and emulates the 1%. If you read her interviews....she believes it was solely her own hard work and inner power and drive that got her to where she is, she feels she "deserves" all that she has and actually even more (see her prior ny times profile). Shes tone deaf. He's practically dating a Koch brother, albeit in a much more attractive package.

She's a polarizing person and she always has been. She would say the same.
