I’m betting closed, Loudoun just announced closed. They could have opened with this amount of powdery snow, but the plowing situation was really poor, even on the highly traveled surface streets. Not really FCPS’s fault.

It has to be the call unless wanting percent of kids walking middle of icy/unplowed streets in dark. Sorry to folks living where streets and sidewalks are all plowed and completely clean, but not all are yet. Others have said, but this is reality with as big a footprint that FCPS has. How is this surprising to anyone?

No, and I'm surprised the school board has any say. It seems like it would be a discussion between the superintendent, regional superintendents, and transportation, if anything.
