The LI Top Guns have 20 D1 commits, not 15. You're missing commits to Virginia, Stony Brook, Navy, Loyola, and High Point.
Thanks for the heads up will update it

High Point and UVA are listed for the black team and I will add Navy Black committ that was missed. I only see 16 commits for black Long Island top gun. I don't see the Stony Brook commit listed?

I see Loyola, Hoftsra, Mercy for the Purple team.

Add Integrity Green Towson Go Tigers!🐅
Add TLC Red Temple

Add YJ Manning Quinnipiac
Add LI Black Top Gun Navy

Only a measly 3% of high school lacrosse players actually make it to play Division 1 in college. Seriously, let that sink in before you start tearing apart a family's choice or a player's decision to attend a particular school!

Boy lax mom checking in and wow Capital’s dominance for DC is crazy. For boys, the higher level commitments are spread out over 3-4 different teams and it’s very rare for a DC area to play for a Baltimore based team anymore. Are there a lot of DC area girls on the top M&D and Hero’s teams or is that rare?

It's a haul from NOVA but a couple do it. Mostly girls from North and East side of the D.C. beltway (Maryland side) join them along with girls that live around the Baltimore beltway.

I can think of quite a few actually between M&D, Heros and Skywalkers, not to mention MD United and Integrity. Plenty of kids attending DC Area schools but play for Baltimore clubs

Generally about 3-4 per year. Capital knows they're dealing with a large group doing it in the 28 class. Double digits. That may set up difficulty going forward as there are looking like alternative options not only there but with a challenger in the local area for the 29s.

Two years in a row of not being the only game in town might be a threat to their model, so I'm sure they know coaching up their 28s will be critical, as well as hoping it's a deep enough class with the ones they now are left with to compete at a high level.

More 28s moved to MD clubs out of necessity. Better performing DMV 29s will likely bring numbers to traditional levels where more talent will stay local. Can’t envision 29s wanting to bet on an unknown (same reason 28 talent fled Coppermine for more established Hero’s and M&D). Prediction is that Capital 29 tryouts will be as competitive as ever.

Respectfully, why would a reasonable person choose the startup (M&D DC) over the gold standard (Capital)?

They wouldn't. The hangers on are trying to convince the stars and it is not working.

It's not crazy at all, but rather the design of what Capital is supposed to be. Capital creates its Blue and Orange teams from the local DC area clubs. I believe there are 24-25 kids committed to D1 so far who played for Pride and/or Stars at some point coming up.

Interesting that you name M&D. Characterization is of note as well. As mentioned, Capital understands job A is this fall with the 28s. Or.....

What was the necessity? Parent of a ‘29 and I can’t see why anyone would not stay and tryout for Capital.
