You think Duenkel’s parents needed the money? You don’t know Duenkel’s parents then.

What’s funny is these IAC folks have no idea how many parents have money at St.John’s and said no thanks to any financial help. The difference is not money it’s Coach Speaks and the support they provide for the student athlete. Coach Speaks goes to watch these kids play during the summer and builds a relationship with their families. All say it again. Your coach is being out worked when it comes to recruiting. If you don’t know - you don’t know.

As a grown-ass adult, I'd hope my coach has better things to do than go watch a MS club lacrosse game in the summer or the fall.

As a lacrosse parent I am glad he does not.

Your a clown.

Kind of what he is paid to do. Do you do the job you’re paid to do?

The stacked sjc team led by #4 Ryan duenkel takes on the sorrowed over rated eye street boys in a tilly for the ages. The eagle have proved to show no class time and time again. We will see how they face up against sjc.

It is pretty apparent by now that SJC and Prep are top of the heap right now, who is best is anyone's guess but neither is going to challenge for best team in the country so pretty irrelevant other than for a few people who may care about a DC Champion. #s 3-10 likely can beat each other on any given day and a couple have the potential to upset SJC/Prep, but at this point SJC and Prep only have 2 maybe 3 games left where that is a realistic outcome. Prep should win IAC, SJC should win WCAC and if they do the only really rock solid prediction anyone can make is that we will all have to suffer through endless posts by supporters of both teams making the claim of being the "All Dominating Lacrosse Gods of DC". Please let there be an upset so we all don't have to live through this.

I could see St. John’s losing Friday but Prep won’t lose in the IAC because the conference isn’t that strong this year.

Agreed. And they want to be part of a winning program. SJC hasn’t lost to a DMV team in 2 years.

2019. WCAC final.

This is so stupid. Anyone that wants to win would take him.

Back to lax, Cadets over Eagles in a close one on Eye street tomorrow. Cadets have been rough clearing the ball, which is amazing given the way Fyock slings it. However, GZ doesn't have firepower to pull off upset.

Disagree...

Why is there such controversy... sure the guys recruits hard but the SJC administration is telling him to recruit hard. He is doing what he has been told by the administration. Win games and do whatever is necessary to attract/recruit kids to military road.

And Prep, Bullis and Landon aren’t recruiting? Please.

Enough smack talk. We have quite the schedule tomorrow!

SJC Gonzaga for too WCAC spot
Heights DeMatha - Mitchell brother showdown
Albans Landon- Growing rivalry
Episcopal Prep- Can any IAC team step in Prep’s way?

I’ll take SJC, THS, STA, Prep.

Check yourself into a padded room. The "lightning rod" is this anonymous forum. The kids in the program like playing for him. The parents like the way he runs things. The program wins.

Zaga wins 8-7
Bullis wins 13 - 3

Do they push games to tomorrow or play in the rain? There could be standing water on some of these fields.
