If she had some sort of talent that she could use in the entertainment industry, it would've been okay too. (There are ugly successful women--comedians, character actors, etc). But unfortunately, she doesn't have any talent, and doesn't seem interested in a life outside Hollywood.
Her parents failed her. They should have encouraged her to develop other interests or pursue more education or a trade.
Instead they did nothing, and then cut her off.

She doesn't have the looks or skills to make it in the industry she wants to be in, and she never developed basic skills to take care of herself either.

If she was born into a regular family in the Midwest, she probably would've become a secretary or something, married some dude and been perfectly content.

I feel no sympathy for her. She was cut off after she left her first husband to get together with Dean who was married at the time. Her kids’ eductation is paid by her mother. She goes through money like it’s water. I feel bad for her kids and that’s about it.

Her younger brother is a life coach or something in the NW. he’s also cut off but he seems to be functional.

We keep referring to Tori Spelling as being “cut off”. She wasn’t “cut off”; at some point most functioning adults stop living off their parents. They have a job and earn money. This is true for even privileged people - believe it or not, many people of wealth do not suck from their parents wealth forever.

Tori Spelling had advantages most of us can only dream of. The best education, could have probably gone to college but chose not to, got an early boost to a career on TV, she likely made $$$ pretty early in her life, certainly earlier than most mere mortals. And she wiped it all away. Boo hoo.

They also raised her to never have any skills except being a actress. The mom is smart not to give him much because she was wise enough to know her daughter was being used by Dean. He only stays with her because he is in the same boat, and couldn't afford child support.

They probably didn't raise her at all, the nannies did.

Why are you feeling sorry for her? She has lived a good life, and is a lovely person.
Nobody lives up to the ideals of Hollywood, so what is the issue?

Somebody not as wealthy as their father?

Tori seems like a good mother. I hope she has the courage to divorce this guy. We all make mistake but he was a mistake from day 1. She's paid for cheating with a married man many times over. And I think she could one day find a real partner that contributes.

She would be wise to separate their finances especially if she is going to inherit one day.

Anyone know if Dean is at least working on something???

She looks like Cecily Strong (in costume) in this SNL skit:
