I appreciated the New Yorker review but not the spoilers!!! Come on! |
same same same - she was so heartbreaking and so effing funny at the same time. she's terrible and wonderful. i really want her to come out of this better than she got here. |
The daughter played the child bride in Handmaid's Tale. |
I found this show annoying with little entertainment value. |
Not everyone enjoys social satire. |
Ohhhhh |
What shows do you like? |
Would this show be ok to watch with older teens? More concerned about explicit content than scariness. |
There is a glimpse of a lead's testicles (prosthetic) in ep 2, I think, and a very graphic sex scene in ep 4. |
Isn’t it great that we have choices to cater to our differences? I tried watching Schitt’s Creek, three times and could not make it past 2 episodes but I know it’s a fave on DCUM. I love White Lotus; so glad to have this gem of a show! |
I would watch with my older teens but you should know in the first episode there is a full frontal of a mans swollen balls. It’s quick, not a sexual scene, but funny/cringey. Also, on a later episode two males are having sex and there is a quick shot where you see one man with his head up in the other guys a$$. It’s a hilarious and cringey scene/not romantic and passionate, if that matters. |
Somebody had fun assigning the various vacation reads to the characters. Shane - Malcom Gladwell; Rachel - My Brilliant Friend; Olivia - Camille Paglia
Fairly on the nose. |
Jennifer's acting in that scene (throwing the ashes into his arms, ha ha!) was absolutely incredible. She is underrated. |
I don't think so personally. |
The actor playing Quinn is so good. I understand it’s still satire but the purity of the cheesy Quinn scenes with the whale and the canoe, and when he told his dad he didn’t scuba so they could go together - the acting to pull those off is so subtle and so good. The show is so cringey and then Quinn brings you these chocolate cookies. I hope he doesn’t die. |
