A few u11s are playing up but there are definitely u12s on that team.

So now u9 academy is cheaper than bridge? Why don’t they just absorb all the bridge teams? There are a bunch of parent coaches on the academy teams- couldn’t they just do the same thing with the bridge coaches?

Looks like they shifted the subsidies. That price is insane. Like the vision is an MLM or ponzi scheme. Now how to keep them in the academy for 3-4 years when they pay the full amount.

i’m sure any parent who paid the previous years fees wouldnt mind some type of refund for whatever they werent getting that allows the price to drop so significantly if its not just a shift. obviously not expecting one ever. but god damn that would have been a good news story.

What price is insane--how low the entry level point is at U9/U10? Or the cost of Bridge? The full amount/amounts at the older age groups are on par with other clubs in the area, so if they leave, they'll be paying the same amount if they continue with travel soccer.

And there won't be any U9 bridge teams in the fall. That would constitute a new team being formed and all new teams getting formed going forward will be Academy teams--there will be no brand new Bridge teams any longer; Bridge teams are legacy/carryover teams from the prior business model (plus this past Spring when Academy let the ODSL/rec teams come over to NCSL since ODSL folded).

The problem is AF is horrible and has done nothing to develop any players. The same is true for CJ its simply a carryover from AF. Yes the have very little talent in the program but they have done absolutely zero when it comes to developing the kids they have.

that's what I heard. No new bridges but the ones that already exist will stay. My DC is a bridge team player. We're happy there. No reason to switch and play academy. We have lower fees, convince of home field being nearby and the more relaxed environment. It's exactly what my DC needs.

You really have to specify whether you're talking boys or girls. They're two completely separate programs and perspective on one is completely useless for the other.
