Is GDS too woke?

Sigh, you never went to a city high school, did you? This is unrelated to GDS and not the above poster, but clearly you do not understand how chik filet a is problematic bc of its stance on LGBTQ issues. Many Wilson teens will not eat there because they’ve don’t support the chain, and yes, they check their friends. I know of one snarky teacher who would mock kids- we wakes up and chooses violence most days— a well-known, bitchy, snarky a-hole. I think her kid is right.

Interesting. My kids' friends at a DC school near a Chick Fil A love to eat there, and congregate there. I think they carry the cups around campus just to stand out a little.

Why? When you’re subjected to the woke police 24/7 I can absolutely see how kids would think this was “cool.”

Lots of labeling going on at GdS. It’s divisive.

In class, most years: Label your race, label your private parts, label your gender feeling, label your orientation, label your parents, label your grandparents, label your friends, label your neighborhood, label your school, label the founding fathers, label Columbus.

Little subject-matter teaching going on, just social experiments.

Interesting... this is my worry.

All this kind of heavy-handed woke stuff is doing is to create the very kind of white racial identity they claim to be fighting. You can’t put people in an environment where they are criticized on racial grounds, not really allowed to respond, told that others must be advanced above them due to “equity,” and expect any other result. It’s crazy.

Douglas Murray has made this point repeatedly -- when everyone (except straight white non-jewish men) is assigned a "marginalized" group identity and taught that a malignant group -- straight white non-jewish men (and their female accomplices) -- are rotten to the core, at some point, whites are not going to take it anymore.

Most of this country is not black. The percentage of population of the US who identify as AA is 13%. Non white is the majority but not black versions of “non white”
