Honey Baked Ham! |
OP back. Sadly, I think the ham-venture has come to an end. We texted the neighbor to come pick up the ham after we got their note, so they had DH's phone number. I left a note on the box explaining that I had contacted ham company, and signed it "Me and DH, your ham elves". (Inspired by someone pages back.) After they read the note, they texted us thanks, and said that we are now in their phone as Ham Elves, so that's fun. But not as fun as eating 8 pounds of delectable pork. |
| This is what I get for jumping from the 1st page to the last page. I need to pour a glass of wine and read the full ham-venture. |
|
Well, if it’s really a Holiday Ham Netflix movie, OP will be sad to not have ham, but on Christmas morning, the hottie neighbor will knock on her door and bring her the second ham.
Although I’d make alternate ham plans just in case it’s real life. |
Jon Hamm would play the neighbor. |
I’m just seeing this since page 1, and thought wow 9 pages about ham! |
|
Well, ok OP. But, maybe, just maybe there might be a Christmas miracle and they will drop off a few slices for you and DH since you but haven't one Christmas ham.
That's the least they can do for all your efforts these last two Christmases to ensure they had their precious Christmas ham. |
And now we have the 2nd movie in a ham-trilogy. Or maybe a ham for all seasons, so 4 movies. So the spring movie is about neighbors who never speak, they just pass a ham back and forth taking a slice or two at a time with a note— from your secret ham-mirer |
The song 'secret lovers' from the 80s plays prominently. The couple sway back and forth together with their heads touching and rubbing. |
| This is amazing |
+100! |
| I am a vegetarian but this thread has me craving ham! It also reminds me of the time years ago my husband and I got a big box of goodies from Omaha steaks addressed to the previous resident of our apartment. |
Ham-mazing! |
I don’t like ham but I totally love this thread. |
| I hope the ham neighbors don’t lightly fry it before going to work... |
