I think Third Love looks very every day, practical underwear and certainly not what i'd wear to wow my husband. Some body types need more practical underwear, so it serves a purpose. Heist is just ugly shape wear. Thistle & spire is definitely cute.

Thistle and spire looks pretty but every time I’ve bought cheap lacey lingerie is is scratchy and uncomfortable. So I suppose if you are just wearing it to be taken off quickly it would be ok. But if you are buying to wear as actual undergarments too I wouldn’t go cheap with lace.

Thanks to you and PP for the feedback. I'll see if T&S has any sales this Black Friday, maybe also checking out the other fancy brands mentioned. I also ordered some super cheap (and possibly scratchy) lace sets from Amazon kind of as a proof of concept. See if DH even notices.

Moth on Etsy has some great pieces.

NP here. I’d love some new lingerie, and I love the look of lace. However...

I have headlights 24/7. Everyday, all day. I don’t need support, I don’t need padding (for enhancing), but I can’t wear just lace anywhere but the bedroom unless I’m wearing a thick sweater.

Any suggestions? Or do I just roll with the polar opposite ends of the spectrum and wear a thin lacy bra underneath a boxy chunky-knit sweater?

I have the same issues, just own it. Nipples never killed anyone.

Agree. I think nipple is fine most of the time if breast are otherwise supported and not flopping and your shirt and bra aren’t see through. No big deal. Where the pretty bra and whatever shirt you want.

Opps, wear.

One idea is that you could wear a bra with coverage that still has lots of lace and embellishment around the straps and such. Check out Marie Jo Bras - sold in many independent lingerie stores and online. Very good quality.

Nipples poking through are fine as long as they aren't pointing towards your feet.

The last time I bought lingerie (or my husband bought it for me) was well over a decade ago. My husband could care less, as whatever I have on comes off very quickly. We have other things we'd rather spend our money on than articles of clothing with such limited use that are worn for such a short period of time.

Uh, i've been married for 20 years with a kid and a full time job. I'm the PP who posted the journelle bra and panties above. That's the kind of underwear I wear on a daily basis (unless an outfit requires a specific type of underwear). You have to wear underwear/bra every day. Why would you buy an ugly nude VS cheap number when you could wear the prettier journelle type of underwear? It's like saying that because you've been married for 20 years, you only wear sweat pants every day. You have to put pants on so why not choose flattering, stylish pants that make you feel good (and your spouse feel good about you)?

PS DS also puts thought into his daily underwear.

Lol. Your husband is probably getting it on with some woman wearing Walmart.

Anyone got something "exotic" to recommend?

Stockings & garters are classic... got something that is more unusual or unexpected?
