So Rolling Thunder is coming to an end because local parking and hotels have become too expensive?

Most people do not like them?

You are the progeny of Hanoi Jane and her band of elitists who demonized those who served in the military during the Vietnam war era.
This contributed to the cultural divide we now suffer.

My father was drafted and served during Vietnam and even he's over Jane Fonda. In fact, the US isn't even still mad at Vietnam anymore.

Was he in country?

DP. She apologized and has paid her penance.

Were you in country?

Is this where you sh1t over other vets? Nice.

Teeny bit insecure, old son?

Seems like the crap-on-other-vets vet is the insecure one since he needs to crap on others to feel better about his miserable life.

DP. I am not getting your point. What am I missing?

There are vets on DCUM who criticize other vets and try to cut them down. It’s disgusting and pathetic.

We went down to the Mall last night and there were hardly any motorcycles. In past years, the night before was chockablock full from the Roosevelt bridge to the Washington Monument.

It’s live on C-SPAN right now!

So what's the difference between this, on a holiday weekend, when many locals are out of town, and the annual blossoming of tourists and tourist buses and school children who don't have the courtesy to confine themselves to weekends? Or the marchers and protestors who are here, not for an hour or a day, but for several days? They too do not confine themselves to holiday weekends . . . they all want to have an "impact" and the screw up the daily lives and commutes of those of us who live here?

Rolling Thunder is harmless in comparison.

They are loud AF.

Motorcycles in general are annoyingly loud AF, but the sheer quantity of them in Rolling Thunder and their constant thundering at 11pm or 3am or 6am on a long weekend (or all weekend long), is incredibly annoying.

You must get “annoyed” a lot.

Awww, I'm sorry. Did my post annoy you? You might want to think about the fact that other people are allowed to have opinions contrary to yours.

No. Does that matter?

Those bikers are old, some are riding 3 wheelers and wheel chairs in sidecars. Their cause is fading. They are a nuisance in DC. Good riddence.
Anonymous
We should never have gotten involved in Vietnam. It was a waste of human life. Let's not not pretend it was some noble cause or a fight for our freedom.
Anonymous
Well I completely forgot this was happening and and as a result was 45 minutes late for an event in DC I was supposed to be attending. Annoying and extremely inconvenient, but it’s for a good cause so I understand.

Thrilled they're leaving. Saw at least 5 stop at a red light, then one moved up to block the intersection while they drove through it so they could catch up with their group.

The rules of the road SHOULD still apply.

*shrug* I don't mind them. They're good tourism income for the city and its once a year. What's everyone so mad about? Or are they a nuisance to you because you're walking around the mall with your strollers and think they shouldn't be there?
Anonymous
Guess this wasn't their last ride after all.

The Great Patriots of Rolling Thunder WILL be coming back to Washington, D.C. next year, & hopefully for many years to come. It is where they want to be, & where they should be. Have a wonderful time today. Thank you to our great men & women of the Pentagon for working it out! - DJT
