| I hope to work until I’m 70, assuming my health and mental capacity allow it. Working keeps you young. |

Knock wood a million times - I'll probably be working until my 70s. I just don't see having the money to retire much before then. We're in our mid-40s now and started saving for retirement very late.

I like my job. Plan to work till 67. I am 56 now. I worked in college. My first full time job was at Barclays Bank in 1980.
So in 2030 will be 50 years of continuous full time employment!! |

Thinking about retiring now. Started working at 16 and am now 46. So tired. So over my career. I save; don't spend. I have a shocking amount of money saved and while my salary is DCUM good, I can't see how I'll miss it. I just wish that the health care exchange were better (cheaper).
My spouse has to work b/c we need the health insurance. FWIW, we live off that one income now. Been saving my income (all of it)for about 2 years. That said, I'm terrified of doing it. |
| 70, which is my maximum social security earning age, am 52 now and took some time off for family reasons, so need to keep on earning money now! |
| I am 40 and planning on completely stopping work at 60. |
|
62 years old max. 60 possibly.
I will have 37 years as a Fed employee when I turn 62. I started with Feds at 25. I worked full-time in a lab while attending grad school age 22-24. In HS/college- I had random jobs—summer camps, waitressing, retail. I babysat a ton in late elementary-MS. |
| DH retires at 55 (three more years). I retired at 50. Life is good. |
| 48 and plan to retire at 57 |

I plan on working on a consulting basis at some level until I can't any longer, seventy now, could well afford to retire but,
watched my parents shrivel up an die once they retired at 65. Seriously their cognitive decline was rapid and they became shadows of themselves. I truly enjoy my work and my work relationships, can't imagine not having that as part of my life. I travel plenty and have lots of hobbies, just can't imagine losing that work component of my life. |
| 62. I’m 47 |
| 37 year old female, plan on retiring in late 50s |
| I like my job . Hoping to go part time in my 50s |
|
55 YO here. No earlier than 60 (when kid is finished college). But, probably later, like 67 or 69. Big issue is health insurance, mostly for wife who is a few years younger than me. So maybe on her 65th birthday.

| I'm 48 year female. I have a flexible job that I love. I can take time off when I want and only work as many days as I want. I don't see any need to plan for retirement. I plan to do this as long as I am enjoying it. Won't likely need the money after 55 or so. |
