+1 I am an older person. Everyone curses a lot more now!! It's just part of the decline of civility. I find it's not related to political persuasion, but to life stress. I will admit that many liberals tend to have more life stress because they are, in general, poorer financially. But I don't think this cursing thing has anything to do with intelligence. I have heard some pretty smart people curse up a storm.

Cursing is an indication of the lack of civility.

Morality is more important than civility.

Liberals only claim morality and virtue signal. They are less likely to give to charity as well.

I’m sure I give more to non-churches than you do. Tithing doesn’t count.

Trump says things that sound controversial, but I have not heard him say curse words at the rallies, debates, or the State of the Union and other speaking events. He might use some words in private, but aside from a secret recording that said the word “p...y”, he was not dropping f bombs or saying b words like modern rappers do. By the way, in California it is now illegal to record someone without consent.

Trump is the president because his policies to create jobs and control of illegal immigration were not presented by other republican candidates. Some people like Trump’s personality, others held their noses and voted anti-Clinton.

My problem is with cursing in public and intentionally, especially when the children can be around to hear it.

So you’re ok with it on DCUM?

OP here. It’s a sort of informal discussion, just like in real life. It makes me cringe, but I think people have the right to free speech. I would not hire an employee who curses during a job interview.

Very successful people can afford to curse in public. Chamath Palihapitiya comes to mind. But he will not ever need a job. Most people do, and most kids would have to learn to speak with manners and civility to get ahead in their careers.

DP.. I agree, and some of the stuff Trump says at rallies is cringe worthy, and I wouldn't want my children to hear it.

I don't think most people would curse during a job interview. People curse when they feel comfortable in a setting, or they feel they can say whatever they want with impunity (ie, I could shoot someone on 5th ave and not lose support).

Do you also give your time by volunteering at health clinics for the poor?

I also listened to some left-leaning podcasts and watched liberal-leaning youtube channels, and found that liberal leaning podcasts and even cooking channels like Bon Appetit Magazine have hosts that curse like it's nothing.

While I don't like cursing and don't enjoy reading expletives on dcum, I understand their appearance on a casual discussion forum. But seeing celebrities like Samantha Bee calling Ivanka "feckless c.." on national TV, listening and watching the podcasts and cooking show, I find this cursing staff grossly off-putting crass, and, frankly, revolting.

Conservative-leaning channels don't have any near the level of foul language.

In my opinion, cursing is not cool, professional, nor does it make your arguments more convincing. Anyone else noticed this?

Perhaps the gutter mouths can't contain their vitriol. I'd hate to live with one.

Not health clinics but title 1 schools.

Anyway, the fact that you support daily lies and corruption demonstrates a lack of morality.

I don’t curse regularly at home. Only on DCUM. And in bed. No complaints.

You have not heard Trump swear? Then you have not heard Trump. Trump swears constantly, including in large public forums.

Far worse than swearing, Trump lies nonstop in large public forums, on twitter, et cetera. On average a whopper of a lie for every 2 minutes he's speaking. And that's not just my opinion that he's lying, these are verifiable facts contradicting even official statistics that he lies about, nonstop.

Deflect all you want but it didn’t change the fact that you support daily lies and corruption.

beta males tend to care about other people. Alpha males care most about themselves first.. see relationship forum.
