They do? Do tell. Also, the mind doesn't really exist in a materialist worldview, only biochemical reactions and neuron firings. |
At that point, you are happy to see everyone and anyone in heaven, but the relationship is not the same. Since we have can't fathom how this might feel in heaven, of course you'd want your loved ones to go to heaven with you. |
DP.. I asked a similar question -- if God is omniscience, why did he create Satan knowing he would fall and wreak havoc on God's children? That's the mother of questions IMO. |
How do you know so much about heaven -- what in the Bible says that? |
Yes, I have thought about that. But what does it say in the Bible about it? It says that when you go to Heaven your relationship with God will be restored and will spend eternity in praise to Him. If your relationship with your spouse and children remain the same in Heaven, then your heart would be split. There will be no Eros love, only Agape love. You can research it on the internet. There are lots of essays about. |
Mark 12:24-25 24 Jesus replied, “Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? 25 When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. |

That's fine. You don't have to believe in heaven or God. Not sure why you're on this thread then. |
Does it sound like heaven to you? Are you saying, unequivocally, that this is what heaven is like? It certainly is not the heaven that a lot of people hear about in church, and no one has ever come back from heaven to describe it. It's something else to be taken on faith. |
There are descriptions in the Bible about what it would be like to be in heaven, and yes, that's what the Bible says, we will be like Angels, and that's what Angels do in Heaven.. praising God. You are looking at this through your mortal lenses. It's not a place where you get to eat all kinds of junk foods and not get fat. It's not a place where you get fed grapes by 70 virgins. If the Biblical description doesn't sound great to you, no worries. You don't have to go. But to those who have a personal relationship with God, yes, this is pleasing. |
