Meaning of Anne -- Favor or grace, as in God has favored me.

Meaning of Jane -- Gracious, as in God has been gracious to me.

Meaning of Eve -- to give life, to give breath.

My daughter's name is Magdalena, and I get comments all the time about what a "strong" name it is.

Other names I think of as strong: Lauren, Ruth, Maura, Sigrid, Hera, Helen, Ellen
