I really don’t understand why posters feel the need to make harsh statements against parents of magnet kids. The OP asked questions about the Blair program and Blair parents responded with their perceptions and experiences of their children. That does not make them nuts, liars, BSers, braggers, arrogant or in need of shaming. It makes them parents of kids who are outliers on the spectrum of students who need special consideration about what direction to go with their “special needs” kids. These are special kids who deserve respect and I just don’t understand why a civil discussion cant be held about this topic on an anonymous forum. If the information being discussed here does not apply to your kid or your reality, that’s fine. If you don’t agree, that is also fine. But please stop making derogatory remarks when you don’t know these kids or their accomplishments.

The point is that the OP posted a stupid question and then got very mad and rude to people who tried to question the premise of the original question.
OP needs to calm down and let his/her child enjoy HS.

That is your perception. OP's question was sincere and should not have subjected OP to denigration and mocking.
