what is the biggest diffenerence between sidwell and gds?

Sidwell was in the NBA draft. Twice. So, yes, everyone’s heard of it outside the usual suspects too! When you’re good, you’re good!

I don’t mean to beat up GDS or MoCo, which I’m sure are great schools, but it’s really annoying to be quite so dishonest about which schools are known outside of DC.

I asked myself why do I even care to engage in this debate? Especially when it’s so silly and obvious? The era of alternative facts is drawing to an end, so, while this debate is not a concern for me, I’m very keen on honesty in all
things as we count down to the impeachment and criminal charges. Just be fact-based, fair and honest

Sidwell is consistently in the top of what exactly???

I don't know. That's why I am asking. I've never seen where Sidwell is "consistently in the top".
Please do tell

PP, don’t respond. You don’t need to. It was a very simple tangential question of whether some DC schools were widely known. I don’t understand why you feel the need to diminish others’ achievement. You can google. These are all great schools with children in them. So what if SFS TJ STA NCS have a greater renown. It’s a good thing for all of us that our schools are great. What is wrong with you?

Are you all really spending your Saturday arguing about this shite?

Haha you got me. I’m shooting the breeze waiting for the impeachment (cheering it along)!

I was just curious which of our schools were well regarded outside of DC and googled and shared what I found. Facts. Not alternative facts. I didn’t even care which school turned out to come out on top, but it was Sidwell.

I’d say yes, but willingly and happily so! Our DC were delighted with the SFS dress code after a uniformed prep school.
I witnessed some parents complaining about girls’ dress and to my delight the girls stood up for themselves, school backed them up, and other parents wouldn’t have it either. Love it — it’s delightfully liberal!

They were wrong on the substance, and they're hypocrites too — oddly silent when the GOP was in control. So it's now time to spend on good things and, you know, truly make American great again (Paul Krugman)

What about money?
We are new to DC and are thinking of applying to S or GDS for middle school or high school. We could budget for it; but it would also be an investment for us. I just do not want our kid to get locked down at as he is not coming from a wealthy family. We now live in NW DC and even at our public school I get that feeling sometimes...

Such a sore loser.

I do not think many people have the opportunity to choose. Most kids get into one or the other, but not both.

GDS basically hasn’t had school this year
