Glad our schools don't. My kids take PB&J or turkey sandwich, a fruit, veggie, pretzels and sometimes a cheese stick every day. |

My kids eat the school lunch but during the summer I tried to keep it simple.
Monday: leftovers Tuesday: sandwich and sides (chips, cookie, fruit) Wednesday: veggies and dips, pita, dessert and fruit, beef stuck Thursday: ramen or some pasta like Mac and cheese and fruit and granola bars Friday: yogurt, fruit, granola, dessert, hard boiled egg |

All nuts are banned at my kids’ elementary and middle (and maybe high school, but I don’t have a child there yet) and it makes me mad, too. Nuts are one of the few things my fussy kids eat. |

That sounds interesting. I too make a healthy fudge balls that my kids love for school. Roast nuts and seeds (cashew, almonds, white and black sesame, flaxseed, pumpkin seed, sunflower seed, melon seed, chia seed) on a griddle. Once cooled, blitz it with some dates. Shape the mixture into balls. Cover with dessicated coconut. |
This sounds very interesting. |
Why??? This is from 2017! Start a new thread if needed. Plus, at 9+ pages it's been discussed to death. |
Greek yogurt parfait with honey, granola and fruit

I made my own lunch everyday starting in 2nd grade. A cheese sandwich plus whatever chips we had. Years later I fell in love with tuna so I made a tuna sandwich everyday. Let your kid make their own lunch and take this off your plate (no pun intended). |
I pick a meal each week and send the same thing every day. Last week was ham sandwiches, cut veggies, hummus, and some fruit. Yes - every day. No - they don't complain. Next week will be something different. Maybe turkey rollups. |
