What's the point of TJ 2017 elite school acceptance stats mirror nationawide acceptance rates

Exactly, what's the point of this thread? the point of TJ is the education and peer group that you have. not the elite school acceptance rates.

The thread is 5 years old but I remember posting back then there are not many, if any, high schools that get 10-15 students a year into MIT.

And they routinely sent 12-18 to Princeton each year until Asians became the majority then the numbers started going down slowly but surely.

I would've been very surprised if it was ever even as high as 12 but I noticed a declining trend on Princeton admits (not sure about acceptances) over last few years. I wonder why.

I think MIT/CMU/Cornell/Yale/Harvard have stayed constant - they clearly like TJ.

It was similar for other schools you mention, admissions were higher but decreased once Asian numbers increased except for maybe CMU.
