I don't know if this qualifies as funny or helpful, but our ASD son insisted he did not need to take the online social skills class I enrolled him in. He then spent the entire class picking his nose, and I had to repeatedly tell him to stop. My husband and I just laughed. Sometimes you have to see the humor in it. Hang in there, moms. It's rough out there.

This was me catching a glimpse of myself in the car mirror while taking my kid to after school PT. I had too much going on and wasn't sleeping well and had skipped a much needed shower and yada yada.

I enjoyed many of these, and appreciate the shared experiences, but I don't make "special needs" my identity. We aren't a specials needs kid/parent/family. We have special needs.
