can anyone who only has boys ACTUALLY admit they wish they had a girl?

Me too.

I think toddler boy clothes are super cute if you go with a preppy look. Anyway, you'll soon have to resign yourself to the ugly leggings and battles over sequins, so enjoy those "Boden pinnies" while you can.

I wanted girls and I ended up with several boys.

The only thing I regret is not getting to do the whole dress up/frilly bedroom decoration thing.

Other than that, boys are a ton of fun, and SO easy once they get past the age of four or five.

Now that I have teenagers, I thank my lucky stars I have boys and not girls.

Tween/teen girls are so mean and mouthy, where boys of that age are very simple. Preteen-middle school boys make their moms laugh, where girls of that age make their moms cry.

I love having boys, and feel extra lucky to watch the whole brother dynamic. My boys are so fun, and really sweet together. I'm sure if I had girls, I would love it too. I've honestly never really had a preference in the sex of my kids. For me, all in ever wanted was to get to be a mom to happy and healthy kids. I feel so lucky that I got that, as it wasn't always easy to get there.

Do you guys really find this to be true?

My boys may be loud and rambunctious unlike your sweet little mini me but I will be the last one to laugh when your daughter inevitably screams that she hates you and then goes out to let her boyfriend take advantage of her to find her self worth.

Wow, your response is cruel and bitter. I would never wish this on anyone's child.

You're disgusting to talk that way about girls. And I have all boys.

Are you speaking of experience, pp?

By all means, enjoy your boys now. I hope they do not marry any of those girls you describe.

I'm the pp above. I mean do you speak from experience? Also, I was not a mini-me of my Mom and my two DD's are not mini-me's of me. Are your boys mini-me's of your DH? Probably not! Each child has some characteristics of parents but, for the most part are their own individual people.

You do realize that you are making huge assumptions of what girls are like? I think you must have treated your mother poorly and that is why you wish girls would act horrible to their mothers.

I don't hate boys but, perhaps you hate yourself? So sorry for you!

Well, if my grown adult sons marry a mouthy tween girl, we have much bigger issues in our lives

Hm, well no, I can't "ACTUALLY admit" that, because I don't wish I had a girl. It's not anything against girls, it's just that I'm happy with my kids, who happen to be boys, and I don't wish I had a girl. Sorry to disappoint you, OP. Some people actually are truly, completely satisfied with what they have.

I'm the PP who made the nasty comment about a girl screaming I hate you and finding self worth through a boyfriend. What a horrible generalization and assumption, right? Kind of like the original poster. #caseinpoint

I love my boys and will never admit to wanting a girl because, from the bottom, of my heart, I don't.

This entire post is idiotic and offensive to those mothers that have boys and are perfectly content with that.

I really don't envy you and your girls - for many reasons.

I wanted a girl and was really bummed when I found out my second was another boy. I continued longing for a girl until my youngest was almost 2. But now my boys are 7 and 5. I wouldn't change a thing. I'm so happy with them that ever wanting a girl is a distant memory.
