Watching "Outdaughtered" again

But-- gotta have some admiration for any mom of 5 newly walking toddlers (plus a 5 year old), one of whom may have some SNs, who seems that patient and organized (and yes, I know it is seems, and maybe not be IRL). I would be in the bathroom curled up in a ball after a year. Even with a nanny 40 hours a week and preschool, that calls for a lot of patience. Better her than me.

And I'm from the South, but also think the dad is gay. That's not typical heterosexual Southern. That's gay (but we don't do gay in this part of Texas).

Don't do gay in this part of Texas?? Did you seriously just say that?? I'm Texas born and breed, and unless you live in some po-dunk town with a population of 50 and ZERO prosperity then there are gays... ALL. OVER. TEXAS. I live about 25 mins from where the Busys's live. The greater Houston area is littered with gays. For the record, Adam doesn't strike me as gay at all.

I'm not sure this is true -- I think we'll find out down the road that there's something more going on with Hazel than the eye thing. I wish her the best but I strongly get the feeling she's got something more wrong than eye focus -- the dad's extremely emotional reaction to her not walking on schedule seemed like someone coming to terms with the fact that things will always be harder for this kid, more than just "hitting milestones is important to me."

Reminds me of the Gosselins touring evangelical churches when they first hit the air, preaching about how if you just believe hard enough God will reward you for ignoring your doctor and not selectively reducing by having all your kids come through healthy!!!! and then later admitting that there were actually 7 fetuses and one died in utero. They've got to package it as something very upbeat to fit into the TLC "Wow Many Kids Much Cute Chaos" mold.

I am a bit freaked out that Adam only wants to talk to clergy members regarding his depression. Why can't he go to a medical professional for a real diagnosis? He is convinced he has PPD. I am no so sure.

Especially since his pastor explicitly recommended finding a licensed counselor -- I was actually impressed that he didn't pretend he could just pray it away. Oh well.

What's this whole thing about Nashville - do y'all think it's TLC-orchestrated so they have a trip to go on and basically a storyline for this season? I mean, there's no way in hell my husband would say he wanted to go out of town for a meeting with a pastor - postpartum depression treatment is not something to make light of by making a weekend out of it

But the kids are SO cute. Them going after the Easter eggs was adorable.

I think Adam is gay. or having gay thoughts or something. I think something more is going on than him feeling overwhelmed. (it would be odd if he didn't feel overwhelmed). but still i think something else is going on

The way the family explains his need to go to Nashville, and saying stuff like "he's been dealing with some things", sounds like they could totally be talking about him having "sinful thoughts" about men. Maybe Nashville pastor is a "pray the gay away" type? Obviously it wouldn't be great for his family for him to find out NOW that he's gay but it's not because he's gay but more because he'd probably end up needing to move out and would most likely leave the kids together with the mother.

the husband seems very selfish ... he told his wife he rather have her do some charity work for the NICU instead of doing something for herself while she leaves him with the kids.. what an awful thing to say.

Hazel is a spoiled brat, she gets all the attention and she is the one who is always bawling. No she is not cute at all.

I have seen the ugliest kid in the family turn out to be the most beautiful. My daughter looked like a little monkey when she was a toddler, but turned out to be beautiful and the prom Queen, A person never knows.

You're an asshole she's a child. Leave her alone. "She's not cute at all"....yeah and I bet you're an old wrinkly, grumpy, cat lady who wears tweety bird shirts and wears her pajamas while shopping at Wal-Mart.
