Spending money on enormous rallies is an unbelievable waste of time, money and energy. He isn't even holding the rallies near early voting spots or busing people directly to vote from the rally. This is the most inept campaign ever. A fourth grader running for student council would be more strategic.

The rallies are literally the only thing he knows how to do.

Yes, literally.

He's gone bankrupt, what 4,6 times? Rallies and insults do seem to be his only skill.

Disagree.
He definitely knows how to ignore facts and common sense.

I recall Obama had massive rallies in 2008. And in 2012.

But since Hillary can't fill a booth at Denny's rallies are suddenly meaningless? Lol... ok.

Nice blog which explains people's confusion about crowd size.

Beware the crowdsmanship: Does the size of political rallies really mean much?

https://bobmannblog.com/2015/07/20/beware-the-crowdsmanship-does-the-size-of-political-rallies-really-mean-much/

Vermont U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders is drawing large crowds at rallies almost everywhere he goes. Nearly 10,000 in Wisconsin; 8,000 in Dallas; more than 7,000 in Portland, Maine; more than 5,000 in Denver; and 3,000 in Minneapolis.

That, according to some political observers, is evidence that Sanders is a threat to the Democrats’ presumptive nominee, Hillary Clinton. “Sanders’s audience—in a state not among those with traditional early nominating contests—rivaled the largest drawn by Clinton and the Vermont senator in recent weeks,” Washington Post reporter John Wagner opined of Sanders’ recent Denver rally. “The extraordinary turnout was the latest evidence that Sanders, 73, has tapped into the economic anxiety of the Democratic electorate.”

Not to be outdone, Donald Trump recently bragged that the size of his rally in a Phoenix hotel ballroom “blows away anything that Bernie Sanders has gotten.” Most journalists covering the event pegged the crowd’s size at 4,000 to 5,000. Trump’s staff told Fox News that 15,000 supporters were on hand. Trump later tweeted that he had attracted more than 20,000 (in a ballroom with a maximum legal occupancy of 2,158).

Bernie would have won the primary were it not for fraud and rigging by DNC and their lackies in the establishment and media. Period. Donald would win general were it not for the same forces. Hell, Donald still might win the general.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump "says" he is pulling out of VA but doesn't. I've still seen commercials for him playing, he's still holding rallies, but he's just wasting his money. I think right now they are saying HRC has a 92% chance of winning the state (http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/?ex_cid=rrpromo). 538 called every state correctly the last election and 48 of the states correct in 2008, so I tend to think of them as a reliable source.

The media was swooning at Obama's sensational rallies. But they collectedly decided to not show the crowd of Trump rallies.

This is what Tim Kaine got in Florida yesterday

Lots of fundies in VA Beach, so not surprised he had a good turnout there. If you go to places where you know there will be good turnouts and big rallies, you are not expanding your base, just preaching to the choir. Trump seems to think applause means votes.
