Wow, so glad someone like you is raising kids. |
| Yes, but with a different person. |
| No. Then I could devote all my time and attention to hating dogs and dog owners instead of just 99% of it. |
|
Would I do it over again? No. It's a ton of work and I would honestly rather be able to spend the time I spend on my kids, furthering my career, travelling and going to the spa. I'd like to leave my house by walking out the door and to my car with out either a) a babysitter or b) herding my children to said car.
However, I imagine in the years to come, my opinion will change. Parenting gets easier and more rewarding the older they get. (I have twin 5 year old kindergartners) I enjoy it so much more now than I did even a year ago. |
| I regretted it for the first two years. Hated every minute and felt like the world's worst person (probably scared a few people into being child-free!) I didn't have a second for that reason. But a few years later (and now completely rested), my feelings have changed. Wish I'd had more, and now I'm the one telling people how great being a mom is. |
| Yes but with a different father AND would def. not choose to be a single mom ughhh |
| Yes. I would also have 3 instead of 2. I'm 36 and could still habe more, but don't want to be an old mom to ypung kids amd don't want a 6 and 9yr age difference. I |
| Absolutely. I'd probably have started three years earlier, but not much earlier than that. I often wish for my 30 year-old energy level, but I never wish for my 30 year-old salary or the paltry stockpile of sick leave I had back then. |
|
Yes. without a doubt.
marriage - eh. i could do without a lot of it. |
don't be silly. The other posters seem far from miserable and so am I. I would've been miserable without children I know that. |
When I was child-free, I didn't frequent the General Parenting forum or DCUM, for that matter. What brings you to a thread for current parents on a parenting site? |
| If I could go back in time I would have more kids sooner. I could flipping smack my earlier self across the face for wasting that time. |
| And btw I am the very last person you would guess for an earth mother of many, but nonetheless that would be my true identity if I had started earlier. Never came into my true nature until motherhood. And my first magazine subscription was Ms! |
| Yes. But I would wait longer (late thirties as opposed to late twenties) and only have one. Or maybe two. |
Ew. I think we can safely say that that PP is unfit for parenthood. |
