I think I'm confused too. I see a few results, but they don't really mention any actual schools. I can't even understand what the x & y axis pertain too and how the colors relate to anything.
I feel like there was a great excel file that was used a few yrs ago. |
Heard from Burgundy for K last night -- very very happy! Our first and only choice ![]() |
Congrats and welcome to Burgundy, our family really loves the school! |
When I click on the results, it shows the first few fields (how many schools applied to, how many acceptances, waitlists, denials) but then there is a looong blank space where I think the school names should be. Maybe you could try reposting the link to the results because the link above is not working properly and sounds like others have the same issue. |
NP here - I can see everything fine... |
SAM, It is hard to interpret the results __ I see the chars but hard to know how many are reporting exactly what. Also, appears to be a biased sample reporting -- mostly admits so far. Only works if people report waitlists and denied as well. Still early so hopefully this will be populated soon. |
Also, may want to ask Jason to temporarily make this a HOT link or whatever on Private/Indpendent Schools so that people know its there and can input their data. |
PP - not SAM here - but you will just have to give it some time for people to report before the results will show much. Most of us don't know where we have been Accepted, let alone rejected. And since it's best to put in all the results as a single entry you are mostly seeing families that applied to Just 1 school and aren't waiting for others. so, for example, those StA families might have gotten rejections or acceptances earlier this week but they are not posting yet because they very likely applied other places too and haven't heard yet from the other schools. |
I think I figured out the answer to your problem. Are you using Internet Explorer as your browser? I just opened the results page in that browser, and I see the blank space you're describing. Try using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, or some other browser. As an added plus, you might also find that those other browsers are far faster than IE. |
Does this mean there won;t be a thread as well? I can't access google docs from work (many federal agencies can't) and don't want to miss out. |
I hope that isn't true, as I can't access it at work and don't find it to be that helpful anyway. If people aren't reporting until after they receive all the responses, that doesn't give much of an idea of what is going on real time. Obviously I could just wait for the mail and not bother with obsessing, but that isn't working. So I am here looking for info. In particular, I want to know if it is worth it to go home a bit early to check the mail on the way out tonight, and I want fodder for my imagination in the meantime. |
I certainly hope the Google doc doesn't discourage people from sharing their stories on this thread. It's just meant to be an easier way to see all the results, and could never substitute for the discussion. For those without access, only five people have responded so far, and all those were admitted (Browne, Burgundy x 2, Green Acres, St Albans). Why don't you start a survey-free thread to avoid all this confusion? |
I know someone who received a Sidwell response in the mail today, so the letters definitely are in the mail. Be nice to your mail carrier! |
Sidwell response arrived today. |
