Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were both born on third base in wealthy families who funded their pursuits. It that's your situation, sure, skip college. If not, that's a pretty risky move. |
Haha. They may have some different ideas. Sounds like they're still babies or toddlers based on your assuming you think they'll be interested in. Write again in 5-10 years when you have a pre-teen who's passionate about and talented in piano/violin/baseball/hockey/horses/gymnastics/swim (fill in the blank) and tell me you're not going to spend $$$ making that happen for them. |
I don't know what you're on about, but Steve Jobs's parents were working class and not wealthy at all. His biological parents were very well off but he never knew them or had any of their money. |
Not true about Steve Jobs. |
Good luck living in your own filth as you age. |
No numbers, huh... just complete fantasy on your part. |
They were also wickedly smart. Combine both and they had a chance (but even then it's not a guarantee) |
Why would I tell you numbers? You are not actually interested in the topic - just want to fight. In any event, it’s clear that you have not been involved in elder care at all. |
| OP, if you haven’t already, check out Boldin. I used it today for the first time after a rec on this sub. Also similar age and NW. |
No because I’m not a striver Virginian trying to get my offspring into TJ. They can do that stuff for fun. I learned to play guitar from guitar tabs online for free, no teacher. Just takes free will and will power. |
OP is back. Yes I love boldin. I love all the replies asking if my numbers are inflation adjusted. Yes i do all my calculations in 2026 dollars. Of course you can’t predict which expenses will rise more than others but it’s an average. Also love all the buyers remorse parents that tell me I will spend the money they spend on Larlo’s travel soccer. I’m better than yall. |
