Take stock of your freezer and pantry. You probably have enough food in there for many days. Maybe not your favorite meals, but it will do.
Everyone should have a stash, always. A few pounds of meat, frozen vegetables, beans and rice. Cans of tuna, jars of peanut butter. You are not going to starve. Maybe buy an extra gallon of milk if your household uses it a lot. I will admit that if the power goes out, I am not looking forward to cooking in my fireplace. |
That's always true. I grew up going to FFX Co schools and so did my kids. |
In 2016 we got 30 inches and a single plow did not touch my road for 5 days and even then they only made one lane passable. |
We do generally have enough food but do you people not live within a couple blocks of stores and restaurants? Some one will be open to provide you food. |
People in suburbs can live really far out from town. |
Do you have above ground power lines? We do not where I am and rarely lose power. |
