| I lived without heat one winter and used a ring on my gas stove to temporarily heat up the kitchen every morning. I mean, I have it on for cooking for an hour at least every day, why is it forbidden for heat? |
Wtf? |
you can put on a huge stockpot of water to boil, then take it down to a simmer and it has the same impact (and is safer). Just having the open flame or risky. |
| The people in this thread are just one of many reasons why I will never live in attached housing. Y’all are insane and are going to burn your houses down. |
| Ice storm. I'm expecting one and feeling anxious. |
I don't blame you, no one wants to lose power. I don't have a generator or a fireplace. |
I ate ketchup soup and mustard sandwiches too. |

I was prepared for 2 days of no school. With the amount of ice and cold we are getting, I am not anticipating being out of school the entire week. We do not handle ice well in Maryland. Our plan is to let Mother Nature melt the ice. |

More than 200 million Americans are expected to face an unusually brutal winter storm starting Friday, with heavy snows and freezing rains forecast. The storm is expected to sweep through much of the United States, leaving "extremely dangerous" conditions in its wake as it tracks eastwards from the High Plains and Rockies, the National Weather Service (NWS) said. It warned that the Arctic blast will bring sub-zero temperatures and wind chills, which "pose a life-threatening risk of hypothermia and frostbite to exposed skin". |
If you have cats, they will eat your eyes out after you starve to death. They will not be able to have an open casket. |
