The rape kit backlog could be easier to solve once tested if the government had a huge cache of data from new fathers. Lots of crimes could be - that's the only real benefit from this idea, I don't think there are that many kids of uncertain parentage. |
If the government can regulate a woman’s body, the government should absolutely involve themselves in a man’s paternity. |
Yea it should be mandatory. Women who commit paternity fraud should be held criminally liable. |
Guess what's also rare - men raising children that are not biologically theirs that they've been duped into believing are!! This is an MRA/misogynist talking point. |
Lobby your representatives. |
Yes, both men and women should be responsible for their actions. I am definitely not in the - but they are women, so they shouldn’t be responsible for cheating, lying, deceiving others…it’s the man’s fault, he made her do it…camp. I am also not in the ‘real man’ camp of a real man mans up and takes on financial responsibility for women and children.
I think all children have a right to knowledge of biological parent and men have a right to know if they have fathered a child. |
Not to mention: - the issues are separate and not really related. |
I doubt it’s that rare. Lots of women cheat. |
A woman can put anyone down as dad. Hospitals don’t ask for marriage certificates or proof. |
People are not going to sign up to willingly provide their DNA to the government.
We can argue about the marital presumption all day long, but that conversation misses the forest for the trees. |
If you have to get a test to see if you are the parent, then you are making a lot of questionable life choices *snicker* |
I get it but that exactly demonstrates data privacy concerns with the government having everyone's DNA. |
It would plainly violate the fourth amendment. |
Because the OP is clearly and obviously a misogynist incel troll , and wants to enable men to have an escape hatch from their commitment to their wife and a child. That’s what this is about. Letting men off the hook from their responsibility as men. Probably 10% or more of pregnancies are fathered by men who are not the spouse or significant other. Clearly OP is one of these men, whose wife probably has a child fathered by a real man she was seeing on the side. That jealousy and inadequacy burns bright in the OP. And he wants to make sure other losers like him can get out of their responsibilities as husbands and fathers if they can prove the child isn’t theirs. The whole OP fairly reeks of small-dick pathetic loser energy. |
This sounds like a "boiling the frog" scenario. Where does it all lead? Unthinkable? How many things has out government done recently that were "unthinkable" a year ago?
