A good Colombian friend of mine married a Colombian guy. Twenty years later they are happy and the family is thriving. She has six girlfriends who married a mix of American, Swiss and British guys, all six are now divorced.

The type of guy who goes to Colombia to meet a wife is not marriage material, and the American women know it. The Colombians just took longer to figure it out because they don’t have the same cultural vocabulary and can’t pick up on the early warning signs.
