RMSC tryouts for 2025-26 season

Have Olney rejections gone out yet?

Received a No from RMSC Rockville this morning: "At this time we will not be able to accept your swimmer into the ISS group. In many cases, it’s not because the swimmer was not qualified, but because we only had 23 spots that we were able to offer and ended up going with 26. Swimmers that were accepted into the group were previously notified.

To give you a better idea of the number of kids we were able to take between both tryouts days, we took 6x8 year olds, 10x7 year olds and 10x6U. All accepted 8’s very fully legal and proficient in all four strokes, a majority of the 7’s were also legal in all four strokes with only a few having minor and very fixable things in either breast or fly, and almost all of the 6U’s were legal in at least 3 strokes.

While we are requesting that accepted and returning swimmer register by 8/10, I can put together a waitlist for those interested if there is room. Please email me if that is the case. In some cases, there are swimmers that were invited but chose not to register. "

26 is a lot. Junior only has 10 slots.
