DC Express?

Who bought DCE? No longer run by the McGill brothers?
Anonymous
My son is on one of the DCE teams that had a zoom call 10 days ago with the DCE staff including one of the Megill brothers and nobody said that DCE was under new ownership or was about to be. Why wouldn’t they have mentioned that?

True

When did this happen?

I think it is fake news. if it were real, the poster would have identified the buyer by now.

Sounds like it was True

True expanded into DC in 2022. In 23 they fielded. 2027 team that competed in hoco. No
Idea what happened in years since but I would be shocked if DC express sold to them

It was definitely not True. Nice try (CM???) trying to spread fake news.

All the teams are continuing to practice with the same coaches and the same DCE uniforms. I’m surprised if there is new ownership, that nothing has been announced.
Will they be changing their name?

I doubt DCE has been sold or bought. From what I saw on the practice field today, the 29's will be a lot better this year than last year. From what I gather, that is the general trend of DCE. Sometimes the DCE younger teams get the creme of BLC and are good, sometimes BLC is weak, and DCE younger teams reflect that BLC weakness. 8th Grade teams are a crapshoot, 9th grade the trajectory curves up and keeps going. I feel lucky to have my son on the '29's. I think it will be hard to make this team as a new guy next year.
