Top team offers are already out—how’s your team shaping up?

What’s the problem that needs to be fixed?

What problem does your daughter need to work on for her to get better that the team needs to fix?

DS plays on the top team for his club which is moving to MLSN2. They told the entire group multiple times not to attend tryouts which were held during the team’s practice sessions so none of the players attended tryouts. The kids all felt pretty secure as they have been playing well together and the coaches implied there wouldn’t be big changes. Now it’s mid-May and not one player has gotten an offer. It’s very late to try to move clubs if an offer doesn’t come through.

Wow.
Its not VRSC or TSJ.

I wonder which club this is. You should start a thread and ask if anyone from outside the club has gotten offers for this team.
Someone here always knows something.

Maybe they haven't sent anything out at all yet.

The coaches claim no offers have gone out. I’m inclined to believe them based on their history of transparency and the players all saying the same. It’s not VRSC or TSJ. It’s a club a bit further outside the immediate area that is rarely mentioned here. It just seems like something is off to wait this long. If they were having everyone return they would have sent offers by now so that tells me they must be considering replacing players based on who showed to tryouts. It’s now late to find a team for DS or others who don’t get offers. He’s old enough that he takes the lead on soccer and he has now reached out to other clubs to ask about openings. I always encourage him to check out other clubs in the spring for a backup plan but he didn’t want to this year because his spot felt so secure and he’s never been happier on a team than he’s been with this one.

If they are switching leagues they could be waiting for guidance on how much more to charge, max players per roster etc.

This hadn’t occurred to me! That’s entirely possible now that you mention it
