They upset you perhaps because you realize how advancing technology is creating your obsolescence. Nobody likes realizing they are becoming of less value, yet everyone eventually has to go through that as they age. This is just hitting you earlier in life in a different way. |
I mean, I realize that, but what am I supposed to do about it? ‘Learn AI?’ |
Just have to be aware of it, and not let it blindside you when you get replaced. Have backup plans, different job or field, ready to retire, etc. in place already. |
AI is not going to take all of the jobs in any field. But they will take some in all fields. So there will be less options in a given field but not no options. |

Beauty industry. Hair stylists, nail techs, waxers, estheticians, lash techs, etc. I know some who make mid-6 figures.
I’d hustle hard from 18-28 in the beauty industry (it’s maybe $15k for school and you’re done in 6 months). Save and invest every penny. Start buying up real estate and earn passive income from that. |
Will make human hires VERY COMPETITIVE. Companies won't want to hire humans that require insurance, days off, etc. when AI or bots can do it without all that, and work 24/7. |
But they didn't get paid |
You and I know that, but they are absolutely happening in every aspect of nursing that it can. Patients will pay the price |
I think it’s pretty telling and offensive that you think blue collar workers don’t use their minds. Plenty of that kind of work requires problem solving (electrician, e.g.). I hope your daughter isn’t close-minded and snobby. People screen for that. |
Agree. I’d be worried for artists for sure. |
That’s you, bro. And therapists are trained to check and manage their emotions to hold space for you to process yours. I’m in school to become a therapist and I use AI for coaching/therapy. It’s helpful, but it’s not a replacement for real human interaction and connection. |
Although, there are apps like Halo that might be working towards replacing the ministry. |
And robots will do the work without any "human" stressors (i.e. complaining, attitude, etc.). I'm wondering if our society will turn into a universal basic income culture in the future if most humans can no longer get jobs. |
| Does this depress anyone else? Not that jobs will be replaced per se but that robots will run the world which means we will know how to interact with robots which means that robots trained by humans will become even less human as the humans become less human... |
The BroBillionaires will never allow that. They get off too much in bossing and humiliating people. Sick. |
