SEC - why not even a peep from leadership?

In other news Atkins passed the committee vote so he will probably be confirmed this month.

Maybe they will have some pizza parties and ice cream socials? Better yet a pot luck?

It's coming out of the mangers' own pockets, so we get what we get.

Oh sorry did I forget all staff need to contribute $25 or a tasty treat for the group!

How long does it normally take for the full Senate vote to happen?

GG and Clayton were 4-5 weeks and started days later. Depends on the senate's agenda.

Does he have to be on board before they decide whether or not to give us the yearly salary increase? Or are they palming that one off on MU also?

Well first off we have a comp agreement so whatever increase we get will be based upon whatever amount of money the agency has available. With the number of contractors and VERA/VSIP departures it's hard to tell how much we might have available for the raise. But yes, the raise should happen prior to PA starting.

I can't believe people are thinking about raises or a relaxation of RTO. They're coming after AWS for God's sake. That's the realistic baseline.

My division is cracking down on ad hoc before it even started. You have to have a work emergency/deadline to be able to TW regardless of when your dr. appointment is. Unless you have a need to work that day they will force you to take leave.

I mean, I personally don't want a raise because that would bump me over the new $250k salary limit to be eligible for a severance. Which is probably the strongest indication that we'll get a raise and THEN a RIF, just to really mess with people.

Why does the 250k trigger severance?

What makes you say they are coming after AWS? Other than maybe actually requiring you to work 9 or 10 hours a day, depending on your schedule, which many people played fast and loose with previously.

I can't believe people are thinking about AWS or ad hoc telework. They're coming after the SK pay scale for God's sake. That's the realistic baseline.

I don’t think the no severance over 250k applies to SEC
Can anyone cite a reliable source on this?
