It's the same shortage and it's worse now than it was then. Trump promised that he'd fix it and swore it had nothing to do with bird flu. Why hasn't he fixed it yet and why did he fire the bird flu experts? That seems like an unusual strategy.

It has been wonderful to see the left acknowledge that inflation is undesirable. I think they first noticed it a few months ago.

It really was stupid of them to pretend it wasn't happening. It was very Trumpian. At least they were trying to fix it at the same time.

It's also kinda gotten worse since the inauguration and there seem to have been some major happenings over at the USDA, and government in general, that probably made things worse.

There are huge swaths of country where this won’t work. Arlington County for one prohibits backyard hens. Trump and his band of morons are ridiculous.

Nobody was pretending inflation wasn’t happening. It was from all the supply chain disruption from covid. The egg problem is from avian flu problem, which is concerning because it usually jumps to humans at one point. But don’t worry! We won’t know because Trump and RFK fired a huge number of HHS & CDC workers.
