OGC is being forced back. To sit in rooms and write and be in teams meetings. We’ve hired people who live outside the DMV and people have moved in the last few years (throughout all OGC). These people face some sad and hard decisions. And our ability to have the best in the country is now gone. And lots within the office will be leaving.

Productivity is going to take a big hit.

Can't the agency find a fed gov building close to their residence. I thought this plan was wide-spread. It is for HHS.

what % of Americans or any fed or PTO personnel live within 50 miles of a fed gov building?

Plus given the whole RTO thing is across mtiple agencies and fed buildings were stuffed anyway, what magical buildings will have space and equipment? How would they track badging for multiple agencies? How would the leases work?

This plan is totally and completely insane.

Yes, but your badge doesn't work at all facilities. Trying to arrange badge permissions for a facility that houses a bunch of agencies is completely bonkers. How are they going to restrict access properly and figure out security clearances? If they make a patent examiner work at a DoD facility will that Patent examiner need a higher clearance? It doesn't make sense.

They have unclassified sections. Similar to how some of us reported to FBI building for renewal and public interest. Ez

Well and it's not like those facilities can suddenly take in all the remote workers across the entire government.

So far most examiners, no impact…. Yet. Does anyone think they will eventually remove the remote agreement?

I’ve read some agencies with CBA, the CBA has been overturned requiring RTO.

That won't happen to the uspto. Nope.

I bet they will have all the 12s and below examiners RTO. Afterwards, make it impossible to become primary.
