Those are the presidential candidate who had been thru a primary for a year introducing their new running mate. Harris is unusual in that she hasn't been a candidate for more than four years.
But she has been VP, so I don't see the big deal that she hasn't done an interview.

What’s with all the empty coffee mugs and soda bottles in the background? The table between Harris and the viewer is a bad optic, it makes her look gaurded/insecure. To date her advance team has done well, but this interview setting is a failure.
