Has anyone seen a Trump-JD Vance sign posted in public?

If I see a political sign in someone's yard or a bumper sticker on their car of any GOP or Dem candidate, I immediately lose all faith in their intelligence. It's one thing to carry out a civil duty by voting for a major party candidate you perceive as the lesser of two evils but only a duped simpleton could openly "support" them. This is why we are seeing less and less political signs and bumper stickers. People are getting smarter.

Very good observation.

This thread caught my eye yesterday, so this morning I watched for signs of either candidate as I drove to work from Great Falls, VA to DC. I saw two Trump/Vance signs, both in Great Falls, plus two American flag signs (tell me you are voting for Trump without telling me) also in Great Falls. No signs at all in McLean. Then one Harris sign in Arlington, plus a "Hate Has No Home" and a "Black Lives Matter" sign, both in Arlington, which I assume are Harris voters. But five signs total is not very many. Perhaps it is just early and we will see more after Labor Day? Or perhaps nobody is proud of their candidate, and 99% are just voting against the other one?

My neighbors fly the American flag and I know for a fact they are democrats.

Same here. The democrats have not conceded the American flag to MAGA. sorry but absolutely not.

I agree. The agendas of our two major parties have made politics a more divisive subject than ever before and most people would rather avoid conflict. The last thing you want is for some nut job Trump supporter to run you off the road because of your Harris bumper sticker or vice versa. There are such wackos out there.

I saw lots of Trump signs in PA earlier this summer. No Vance yet. But there are a lot of MAGA with quasi permanent signs that aren't going to replace / update to add the VP.

sure, and my neighbor flies a rainbow pride flag and he is a Republican. But people will play the averages and make assumptions.

You can generally say that, if they fly the Confederate flag, they are Republicans.

sure, in the fake world that Democrats are unsuccessfully peddling, in which President Trump and all his followers are Nazi's, white supramacist monsters, so it would fit the narrative for Republicans to fly confederate flags on their front lawn. But in the real world, I have not seen many Confederate flags lately. And, if you go back and read history, the Confederates were Democrats and Lincoln was a Republican.

If you actually read history, you'd know that those Dixiecrats began switching to Republican in the 1960s -- a trend that was complete by the 1990s. Look no further than Richard Shelby - Senator from Alabama elected as a Democrat in 1986 and switched parties in 1994, which he held until retiring in 2023. The Republicans of Lincoln were the liberals of their era. Trump may not be a Nazi, but he certainly has dined with white supremacists (Nick Fuentes) and called the Charlottesville white supremacists "fine folks" and kept a copy of Hitler's writing on his nightstand. Remember all those Confederate flags flown by the January 6ers? I do. They certainly weren't Democrats, or at least modern day Democrats. You don't see Nazis, white supremacists, and Proud Boys supporting the Democratic Party now do you? Why is that?

You reveal your ignorance about the last ~60 years with that statement.

I drove back from Charlottesville yesterday and, because of this thread, paid attention. At least a dozen Trump-Vance signs. Plus some more Trump signs.

"On my Facebook feed I'm getting a lot of MAGA posts. The Trump campaign had an ad yesterday selling Trump Vance yard signs for $50. Billionaire my eye.

There is one Trump alter in my neighborhood. They are about to get nastygrammed by the HOA as the rules say only one political sign allowed. There is one faded decrepit Trump 2020 flag on the way to my sons' rural home. One. It's remarkable how the deplorables have gone underground. They don't have the courage of their convictions, just like JD."

As of yesterday, the neighbor in violation is down to ONE Trump sign, from three. JD is not mentioned. They must have had feedback on neighborhood rules.

Yes. Across cape and south shore of mass. Friends and family here say it’s 50/50.

When Trump was running against Biden, I saw many Trump signs.

I haven’t seen any Trump-Vance signs but I have seen a few Trump flags/signs.

But now that I think of it, I haven’t seen many, if any, Harris signs out. Maybe people just don’t want to get into political conflicts with their neighbors.
