You don't seem to understand what "mild" means. |
Dumb question. |
I will explain to you what it means, since you don't understand. You may have neglible or even absent symptoms but the virus can still affect your heart, your lungs, and vascular system. Ask the thousands of people with cardiovascular issues such as afib, or blood clots in their lungs. Yet the infection felt like a bad cold. |
Are you under the impression that a causal link has been established between covid and those conditions? Because there hasn't. |
We test because tests are free and easy and we like to know what we have...I think people are generally curious about what particular virus they have. If there was a free, quick, easy test for other things that I could do at home I might do those too if I had symptoms relevant to the virus . Also, Covid has sucked for a couple members of the family so last time I got it I tested and then quarantined, wore a mask, etc. Also, there are some illnesses where it just doesn't seem right to knowingly expose others, like the flu, norovirus and IMO covid. Colds I'm not as worried about, but I'd prefer not to expose others to the most contagious days of covid if I can help it. And, it's a good reason to stay home from work. ![]() |
Why are you treating colds different from covid? It's basically equivalent at this point, unless you're very old. |
It sounds like you regret not taking better care of yourself before the pandemic. Have you started exercising and eating better so that you don't need to be scared of some sniffles? |
Well, because for a lot of people it feels worse than a cold, more like the flu. And for some it is really bad. I've never had a cold make me feel as bad as Covid; Covid for those I know feels more like the flu. I honestly don't see why anyone cares if some people want to take some easy steps to avoid spreading viruses to others...?? |
