How did you meet your spouse/partner?

My parents met at a beach in Florida 50 years ago this week! They were both there for spring break with their own groups of friends and were hanging out at the pool. My dad tried to throw my mom in the pool and after that they hit it off. Found out they lived 30 minutes from each other back home. He promised to pick her up at the airport and he actually did! They’ve been wanting to kill each other ever since! 😂

We met the old fashioned way … partying at Rehoboth Beach. Married 26 years.

Met at a 30th birthday party for a mutual friend. I was 26 he was 29. Dated a little over a year before getting engaged then married 10 months after that.

She was working on stage at amateur night. Had my eye on her for a while. Took a chance and asked her out. She quit dancing and here we are seventeen years later happy as clams.

They have been best friends from ES. We are all in our in our 40s.

And you say best friend forever for your brother and husband? That is so bizarre.

Closest friend since childhood would get that across better and appropriately.

And yet the word forever has the same connotation and a lot fewer keystrokes.
