| Every short child I've ever known ended up being a short adult, too. |
Genius! |
You can’t be happy with yourself because you want to be 2” taller. Wear some heels and call it a day. |
|
Yes I’m still
A midget 4”11 |
| Midgets live longer lives so there are positives to this |
| No, I was "petite" growing up and ended up being just under 5'6" woman which is probably above average. I'm still on the thinner side. |
| Yep similar I am an adult and 4'10. My husband is 5'4. We have a son age 16 and he is 5'0 whereas our daughter 13 and she is 4'9 I think she may still get taller though. I have noticed that my mother who was my exact height as lost some of her height. She explained that she started shrinking abit when she was in her late 30's. She said that when she stood next to my dad she used to be a full head shorter than him. Then she noticed over time it was shorter and her trousers were. Scraping the floor. Now she is in her 60's it is still happening and she as gone from 4'10 to 4'8. My dad as just lost 1 inch. So that's what we have to look forward to.. |
| For me I have always been short I stopped growing when I was 14 I reached 4'10 and that was it. I have a sister 4 years younger than me and she reached 5'3. My brother is 6 years younger than me and he reached 5'6 like our mother. Our father on the other hand was 5'4. I got my height from my grandmother who was also my height. I have 3 cousins that are short like us. It seems mostly the females are abit on the short dude like our grandmother. So I didnt mind being short as there were others in the family. I generally thought I would be taller because of being older but it seems the older isn't taller. There were also other girls short similar to my height. There were a few short boys but they got the short end of the stick sorry for the pun. Even at the end of our school life there were quite a few girls under 5'0. The boys also were under 5'0. Now I'm still the shortest in my family my son is 22 and 5'6 and my daughter is 5'3. So no change there.. I am just used to it after all this time. So I don't mind |
| I was a short, late developing girl. 4’11” until freshman year of high school. I grew 7 inches in 2 years and am now 5’8”. |
I meant 5’6” |
| I am rather short for my age I a now 25 anx tge same height since i was 12. If must have been about 7/8 years old and I was one of the shortest in my year. My teacher brought in a gymnastics teacher and she checked out about 10 of us. There were 6 girls and 4 boys. We were all similar in height . We did it for 5 years. A couple of us noticed that during this time we only grew a little. Then our teacher at gym club explained that doing gym can affected the height. My younger sister had grown taller than me. We all went to the same high school . The good thing was we did really well in the gym club anc all won competitions. I think if we knew our height would be affected I don't think we would have done it .So we are abit annoyed as we probably abut taller. Instead I am 4'9 and the girls no taller than 4'11. The boys all were 5'0. We live and learn |
| Yes my adult height is 4'11 not quite managing 5'0. I have quite alot of friends tall and short. My best friend is 5'6 I have known her for years. I admit it was easier being a short girl. There was 4 boys under 5'0..They hated being short they were picked on. They were picked up swung round and the taller boys patting their heads as they went by. My son as just turned 12 and he is short for his age he has just moved to high school. Most of his uniform has to be altered. He asks every now and then if he will get taller. His sister is 2 years younger and she is 4 inches taller than him. So I am hoping he can get abit taller it is just so gradual. |
| Yes. I was so short my parents I got a bone scan of my hand. I slept a lot and grew in college and ended up 5’4”. Still considered short but my friends still think I’m short/small, and I’m actually their height or a little taller than them. |
| I was short (always first row of class pics!) and ended up 5'8". My daughter was also a short kid and ended up 5'0". You never know, but I think I was an outlier. |
| My DD was short all the way through childhood (consistently 20th percentile or so). We assumed she would end up on the short side- which is fine- but she ended up 5’7”. Late bloomer and grew for several years after most of her friends had stopped. I really would not make any assumptions before puberty. We know may kids who were always tall then stopped growing early, others who were always short then shot up at puberty. And of course yes- some were always tall (or short) and stayed that way. Totally varies. |
