how likely is a shutdown?

Schiff isn't wrong. The entire GOP is at the service of the former president, everyone else be damned.

They can’t even pass the rule to get this one spending bill onto the floor for a vote. Pathetic.

It’s going to be a long shutdown.

And this is Defense Appropriations, the one of the few that they ever support.

Any rumblings yet from Republicans in the House who are tired of the Gaetz show? I thought I read somewhere that there is a sizeable chunk of Republicans from districts that are moderate and/or voted for Biden.

They’re 18 of them. Keeping quiet so far.

The 18 would not only have to side with the Dems, but they would also have to agree to the spending limits agreed to previously during the debt ceiling agreement.

Just make sure the shut down of the government includes air traffic controllers, medicaid and social security payments. It would be over in 15 minutes.

Is a certain representative again planning to create an X-rated scene in a family theater?

For all the people on the right, do you know what wastes money? Government shut downs.

Last one cost over 8 billion dollars, cost 800,000 jobs and for the government contracts in place, that had to be voided, re-bid and re-staffed, an administrative nightmare.

Shutting down the federal government isn't going to defund the trials against Mr. Trump in GA and NY. In fact, the attorney general of Nevada just said today, "I never said we wouldn't prosecute the false electors." There are probably more charges coming. PA and AZ are considering the same. It's hard to separate fake electors from the man who demanded them. https://www.8newsnow.com/investigators/ive-never-said-that-were-not-going-to-prosecute-nevada-ag-says-about-fake-electors-who-backed-trump/
