But I will cure Dylan of his addiction with my LOVE! (Steve never did anything for me, physically. I didn't like his tight curly hair, didn't like his facial structure, didn't like his body, and he was just too stupid.)

| Any of the boyfriends or husbands on Designing Women and Anthony on Designing Women (his character was very sweet on the show) |

Jax Teller, although things didn’t go so great for his wife
Jack Bauer Chuck Bass |
Wookies live a long time so technically Han is the pet. |
Well hurry up! When you move on I’m snatching up Jack Smith. As a real life scientist I greatly enjoy this alternate reality where every one is hot and fun. If he reforms your fickle ways I’ll go with Jacob from Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez. Although he and Briana were so perfect together it seems wrong to type that. Tough choices…. |

| I haven’t thought about this in a long time, but when I was younger it was Fitzwilliam Darcy, Gilbert Blythe and Almanzo Wilder (from the books. Laura has to live with a family for one of her first teaching jobs. The family is struggling and the situation is stressful. Almanzo starts picking her up and driving her back each weekend even though it takes hours). I will also take John Thornton from North and South (as played by Richard Armitage - haven’t read the book). |
I see we have the same taste in men. I think Gilbert and “Manly” were my first crushes as a girl, then Darcy for sure. |
+1 always!! |
If i knew you IRL we could binge Designing Women together... Yep, quality men. Reese, JD, Bill and sweet Anthony. What they all had in common was that they were all gentlemen in the truest sense. Probably helped that several of the actors were the real-life romantic partners of the actresses! |
You and I must be the only middle aged women posting this morning - otherwise I cannot believe that nobody is acknowledging what terrific husbands/fathers they were. And yes John Boy definitely matured into somebody who would have my attention as well. I would have seconded Atticus Finch on his fatherly love alone, but the question was about husbands and we don’t really know if he was a good one, we just assume. Of course this question made me laugh a little because, having recently rewatched all of The Waltons and LHOTP with an elderly woman I was caregiver for, I realized it was the standards I had in mind from observing those two husbands/fathers in my childhood that kept me perpetually single. And ironically reading Pioneer Girl in recent years I learned that it is well documented that Charles Ingalls was a terrible husband and father, not anything like the man his daughter depicted decades later in her children’s books. Who knows about Earl Hamner Sr., his son closely protected the family legacy underpinning his lucrative Waltons franchise and it doesn’t seem any historians have done a deep dive into the family history to see what if any skeletons reside there. But I can only assume he was far less perfect in real life than he is portrayed in the books and series. |
We're pleased to accept! We'll be bringing a lot of servants, but hopefully your servants can show them the ropes. |
It will be awkward if Colin and I bump into you two, but ok. |
