I wrote to him; he never wrote back. Judging by his Twitter feed he has time to do photo ops with the workers at popular D.C. restaurants in Ward 2, but not answer his own constituents in Ward 3. My ANC rep - who unlike Frumin, doesn't do this as his full time job and doesn't have a paid staff - writes back immediately. I think everyone should write to all six of their councilmembers (ward councilmember, four at-large councilmembers, council chair) just to see how unresponsive the people we elect actually are. For all the talk about "taxation without representation," it seems too many people don't care if our current elected leaders completely ignore their constituents. |
Oh, I don’t know. Perhaps use his elected platform to draw attention to the issue and increase the drumbeat that serious action is needed? Show up to one of the multiple daily crime scenes? Invite the Judiciary Chair to Ward 3 for a public meeting? I mean he’s sent 11 Tweets this year on pool closures and ZERO about crime. I’m not sure he’s the the right guy for this job. |
Funny, I wrote him recently and he got right back to me. His staff has been very responsive to issues on our street (not crime related) |

This poster FTW - they got it right.
“Now we’re stuck with lame duck Frumin who cruises around the Ward on his bike like some Bon vivant looking for a fresh baguette. While the city is cratering and his ward becoming a crime zone his most recent piece of legislation was to declare May “Old People are Cool Month.” |
Getting back on topic about development pursuits in W3 and why they are slow as hell or unsuccessful, did anyone catch that depressing ANC 3/4g meeting last night? Or check out the ChCh listserv which is presently blowing up with the latest group formation from the same NIMBY landowners who brought you Save Conn Ave, Friends of the Field, and God Save the CP Service Lane (okay I made that last one up)? It's the forth apocalyptic event of this year to befall the area! |
Pickleball is his priority. |
So well said! |
